[origin: WO9618807A1] A valve gear mechanism for an internal combustion engine is provided with: a variable valve control mechanism with a shaft (1) which has a rotating axle (D) and serves to transmit the necessary rotary motion to the valve gear mechanism; a rotating body (10) mounted in such a way that it can turn about the shaft (1); and an intermediate element (20) which surrounds the shaft (1) and adjoins the rotating body (10) axially and can turn about the shaft, and has a drive connection to the shaft (1) via a first sliding guide (15) and a first transmission element (40, 50) and to the rotating body (10) via a second sliding guide (10) and a second transmission element (70), the first transmission element (40, 50) comprising a radial pin (40) which is introduced into the shaft (1) substantially vertically in relation to the rotating axle (D). The radial pin (40) is preferably held so as to be displaceable in a recess (51) of a sliding block (50) which is mounted in a bearing seat (22) in the intermediate member (20) in such a way as to pivot.
