Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0797944A2] The counter has a platform (2) for displaying the food around which a cool air stream (9) is circulated, with a UV light source (13) positioned beneath the platform, in the path of the circulated air for killing bacteria. The UV light source is contained in an enclosed space defined by metal, e.g. stainless steel or aluminium, walls (2,14,18,19) which are highly polished for reflection of the UV light.
