Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0797948A1] The device has a container for a cleaning fluid, and has equipment which is arranged outside the fluid, in order to support the sponge (2) while it is being squeezed. The force which is necessary to squeeze the sponge is generated by a pressing roller (7,8,9), and the device has conveyor equipment (4) in order to move the plate from the cleaning fluid to the supporting equipment. The latter is a pressing roller (6) which supports the sponge in a position from which it can be withdrawn. The conveyor equipment may be driven by an electric motor (18), and may have at least one conveyor belt (5).
