[origin: EP0798252A2] A cutter belt rotates at right angles to the direction in which the sheets are travelling and is integrated in a frame structure (10,11) movable in a horizontal direction (20). A braking appliance for the sheets has stop pieces for the sheet-edges. The frame structure runs along a profiled horizontal guide (19) by means of guide pieces (17,18) in the form of rollers with needle cages. The stops for the rear edges of the sheets are swivel mounted on the frame structure. The stops are operated by one control in the form of a Bowden wire, connecting rod, with pins and one or two adjusting cylinders.
