[origin: EP0798505A1] The elongated body (2) of the rail has a C-shaped cross-section with a perforated rear wall (3) and sidewalls (4a,4b) at right angles to it. The holes (7a-7d) are arranged periodically along the centre line of the rear wall. The free ends of the sidewalls are bent to form parallel bars (5a,5b) defining a slot (6) in the longitudinal direction. Dovetail-section grooves (8a,8b) in the respective sidewalls are symmetrical about the centre line and their depth does not exceed the breadth of the bars.
