Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0798526A2] The radiator consists of at least one heating body block and a collector tube with heating tubes (2) of varying dia. It has deformation preventers (9) to counter the pressure load in the interior of the heating tubes. The deformation preventers may be separate parts inserted into the heating tubes. Such inserted parts may be of zigzag shape with rounded tips. They may be welded or soldered to the heating tubes, possibly by spot welds or solders in the vicinity of the rounded tips. Alternatively, the deformation preventers may be in the form of webs fixed permanently inside the tubes.
