Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9619356A2] Prior art album pages in which a transparent film is applied to a solid substrate, e.g. cardboard, are of inadequate bookbinding and optical quality. To make the album page of the invention, a transparent film (2) is bonded to one side of a substrate (3) at the upper and lower transverse edges by an adhesive seam (4; 5) and transversely by one or more additional adhesive seams (6), if required, to form a plurality of insertion pockets (1). The description also includes a device for applying an edging strip having a self-adhesive coating. Such album pages are bound together to make photograph, coin or other albums, visiting card sleeves and similar collective holders or arranged so that they can be fitted in ring-binders. The edging strip provides a particularly high optical quality and easy handling.
