Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0799649A1] The insertion of filler mass (8) is carried out so that the undamaged paint surface (9) directly next to the damage point (6) is free from it. After the filler mass has dried, the excess at the damage point is smoothed away. After cleaning the smoothed damage point, paint is applied to it in the appropriate colour extending on all sides to between 4 and 6 cm and in a very thin layer, i.e. 10 to 20 micrometres. This constitutes a first repair cover paint layer (10). The paint sprayer is guided in a star-shaped manner and each time centrifugally away from the damage point. After drying of the applied colour paint a clear lacquer sprayed on to the damage point, extending on all sides between 2 and 4 cm, constituting a first repair clear lacquer layer (11).
