Abstract (en)

A fireproof plate material comprises at least two panels (1,2,3) separated by a cavity (5). A fireproof, or at least fire-inhibiting substance (7) is provided in the cavity (5). The fireproof substance (7) comprises a solid substance which undergoes at least one phase transition in the temperature range from normal ambient temperature to the temperature prevailing in a fire, while the fireproof substance comprises a mixture of solid sodium silicate particles and liquid sodium silicate. <IMAGE>
