[origin: EP0800050A1] The rifle has a large-calibre self-loading rifle module (2'), for firing spin-stabilised projectiles. The module has a hammer piece which is tensioned by a spring, and has loading equipment (8) which may be a magazine. The rifle also has an operating module (4'), which can be attached to, and removed from, the rifle module. The operating module may be in the form of a short assault rifle, with separate triggering equipment. The large-calibre module may have separate triggering equipment which can be operated with one hand by the firer, and the triggering equipment on the assault rifle module may be designed to be operated using the other hand.
