Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0800902A1] During the scattering stage, a deliberately continuous scattering of particles (2) takes place over the entire length and width of the scattering function so that an intermediate stock is formed. Continuous formation of successive mats (6) then takes place. The formation of the intermediate stock is controllable. Unsuitable particles are separated (12), their size is reduced and then recirculated. The particles which cannot be recycled are discarded. The equipment includes a bunker (1) for pre-stored particles of varying dimensions, with an outlet (3) to which a dispersal station (4) is connected. The station width corresponds to the mat width to be produced. In the dispersal station a row of dispersal rollers (11) is provided, the cover of which supports a structure. Under the dispersal station, a continually moved base is provided to accommodate the dispersed and subsequently pressed woodchip mat for production of the wooden plates.
