Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0801204A2] The connector (2) links upright and lateral mouldings in window and door constructions, and has upper (21) and lower (22) components. The latter is hollow and has an upper border (222), from which a central guide spike (221) with an axial opening projects into its interior. A central insert (212), which projects from the upper component, can be pushed through the opening and has an axial bore (211) for a mechanical connector, such as a screw (14). A layer (23) of durable synthetic sealing material is placed at the separating point between the components, and this may be on the upper side of the upper border of the lower component.
