[origin: EP0801280A2] The new flash dryer has flinger shafts. At one end of its casing, there is an opening for the supply of material being dried, and hot gas. At the other end there are extractors for the dried material and for waste gas. On one side wall there is an interception basket (8). On the sidewall of the casing (1) in the region of the interception basket, there is an outlet opening. For the dried material and for the waste gas there is a common extractor (7).
