Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH1029023A] PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid inconvenient deformation and damage by arranging opposed bearing parts behind a pair of forming rolls in the feeding direction and supporting them on the side faced to the 2nd thin metallic plate part of the edge part of the thin metallic plate. SOLUTION: With at least one pair 12, 15 of the forming rolls, the edge part 4 of the thin metallic plate provided in a 1st thin metallic plate part 2 is mated with the 2nd thin metallic part 3 and bent. Forming rolls 13, 14, 16, 17 are rolled in the feeding direction along the longitudinal edge on the edge part 4 of the thin metallic plate on the side opposing each other of the edge part 4 of the thin metallic plate and roll gaps are inclined toward the 2nd thin metallic plate part 3 in the bending direction. One of the forming rolls 14, 17 enters under the edge part 4 of the thin metallic plate on the side faced to the 2nd thin metallic plate part 3 and, with at least one opposed bearing part supported to one of the thin metallic plate parts 2, 3, is supported by acting in the crossing direction to the feeding direction 19. The opposed bearing parts are arranged behind the pair 12 of the forming rolls in the feeding direction 19 and supported on the side faced to the 2nd thin metallic plate part 3 of the edge part 4 of the thin metallic plate.
