The fluid which collects in the drip catchers and in the lower housing area is drained off. The drip catchers are each formed by a downwardly closed tube covered with a textile stocking. Air doctor blade devices (20) biassable by compressed air are provided opposite one another at least in the area of the output slit (12) relative to the transport plane of the printed web.
