[origin: EP0802102A1] The switching points have the movable rail profile (14) moved by a slider bat (12) which is supported on corrosion resistant rollers (30) mounted in the forked ends of support brackets (32) clamped to the side of the fixed rail and extending under the rail. The top of the slider bar is fitted with two thrust blocks (38) which move the profiled rail in either direction. The slider bar is plated for corrosion resistance. The thrust blocks are secured in placed by interlocking groove patterns on the top of the slider bar and under the blocks. Securing bolts (44) clamp the blocks onto the slider bar.
