[origin: EP0802138A2] The device includes a movable knife (12), whereby the blade (13) of the knife is arranged underneath the product path (3) in a space between the product path and a pressure roll (4) in a slight distance to a crack (5) formed by the pressure roll and a cylinder (1). The knife is provided with an activation device which includes at least one pulse exchange device (11). The pulse exchange device is preferably a mechanical pulse generator (26, 27), where the pulse transmission results through a push body mass.
