Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0802154A2] The platform is mounted on a swivelling arm, and has a drive in its base. The drive automatically controls the alignment of the platform in order to keep it in a horizontal plane, at different positions of the arm. The drive may also be mounted on the side of the platform. Versions in which the platform is suspended from a drive which is mounted on an upper part of it, or in which the automatic levelling system can work over a range of up to 180 degrees, are also discussed.
