The drying stage for a fibre web, in a papermaking or cardboard prodn. machine, has a number of drying cylinders and web guide suction rollers (11,13), with an external suction box (27,29) for pref. all the guide rollers (11,13). The guide roller mantle (31) has a number of passage holes (37) where some, and pref. all open into external grooves (35) at the outer surface (33) of the mantle (31). Also claimed is a drying stage operation where at least one groove (35) is fitted externally in the mantle (31) of the suction guide roller (11,13). Passage openings (37) are fitted to the groove. The roller (11,13) acts with an external suction box (27,29).

Es wird eine Maschine zur Herstellung einer Materialbahn, insbesondere Papier- oder Kartonbahn, mit einer Trockenpartie, die mindestens eine eine Anzahl von Trockenzylindern und besaugten Bahnleitwalzen aufweisende Trockengruppe umfaßt, vorgeschlagen, die sich dadurch auszeichnet, daß mindestens einer Bahnleitwalze (11,13), vorzugsweise allen Bahnleitwalzen, ein externer Saugkasten (27,29) zugeordnet ist und daß der Mantel (31) dieser Bahnleitwalze eine Anzahl von Durchgangslöchern (37) aufweist, von denen eine Anzahl, vorzugsweise alle, in mindestens einer in die Umfangsfläche (33) des Mantels (31) von außen eingebrachten Rille (35;35') münden. <IMAGE>
