The side sealing of the wedge-shaped gap at the common water extraction stretch between two fourdriniers (S1,S2), in a double fourdrinier papermaking machine, has an upper sealing gap (11) between a sealing filler piece (1) and the upper fourdrinier (S2) which is filled with a barrier fluid. Also claimed is an assembly with a sealing component group of a wedge-shaped sealing filler piece (1) which is out of contact with the upper fourdrinier (S2) and rests on the lower fourdrinier (S1). A side support wall (5) and connection (10) for the barrier fluid complete the assembly.

Die Vorrichtung betrifft eine seitliche Abdichtung in einem Entwässerungsspalt einer Doppelsiebpapiermaschine. Diese seitliche Abdichtung hat nur Kontakt mit dem unteren Sieb (S1). Zwischen dem oberen Sieb (S2) und der seitlichen Abdichtung (1) wird vorzugsweise mit Sperrwasser abgedichtet (11). Weil diese seitliche Abdichtung elastisch ist, kann sie sich den Bewegungen des unteren Siebes anpassen. <IMAGE>
