Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0802308A1] The damper has a housing (1) through which the engine exhaust line (3) is passed. Acoustic openings (4,6) are set in the exhaust line within the interior (2) of the noise damper housing. One of these openings is provided by an aperture coupled to a pipe section (5). Further openings are provided by perforations enclosed by a sound insulation material (7).
