Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0802589A1] The equipment draws the conductors (2) from a reel (1) through an anti-reversal device (3) to a puller (6) movable axially along a rail. The desired length is pulled out across a transporter (7) comprising two parallel sliders (9) interconnected by a crosspiece (10) between grippers (8). The cut lengths are gripped between jaws (11) and conveyed to successive stations for semi-stripping (19), contacting (20) and inspection (25) for continuity and short-circuits. At a recycling station (26) the rejects are separated from their connectors and discarded (27).
