During the treatment of the yarn (2), the striction point is determined during the stretching phase by causing a breaking or sudden modification of the path of said yarn while its temperature rises in the texturation zone, this being carried out by bearing on a surface or element (11) providing for a rising of the torsion communicated by the false torsion spindle up to the first inflow system. Preferably, the modification of the path of the yarn (2) takes place inside the oven either during its temperature increase, or at the vicinity of the area where it reaches its optimum processing temperature.
