[origin: EP0803354A2] The printing press cylinder (e.g. sheet feed cylinder has an external diameter which can be altered due to an elastically deformable part-circular cylinder shell, acted on by a setting device (47), which has a setting part (12) able to be moved radially relative to an internal cylinder body (12). The cylinder shell (6), basically of uniform rigidity, is fitted in the same radial direction. A path led out of the radial displacement forms the setting path for a power diverting device (35) belonging to the setting device. This acts preferably on the end regions (44) of the cylinder shell.
