[origin: EP0803634A2] The glass door is designed for fire prevention and has a heat reacting foam agent that acts as a fire prevention (2) device. The weight of the fire prevention door is held on the wooden door frame (1) by a hinge strap (20). The support structures are two carrying sections (3,4), one which is situated over the top of the door (4) and the other which is situated underneath the bottom edge of the fire door. There is also an area of vertical section (12,26,27) that provides strengthening support for the door lock housing (22). The glass door may have grooves (7) in it so the horizontal edge may fit well in the frame and keep a seal.
