[origin: DE4411004A1] The invention relates to a house of modular construction with a metal bearing frame in which the individual modules may be assembled side-by-side, front-to-front and also in stacked array. The house must economically conform to the user's desires. According to the invention, account is taken of this aim in that essentially four rough-cleaned, finished modules of different basic shapes may be used as desired for the final assembly of the house, one module (1) being designed for the ground floor, one module (2) for at least one intermediate storey and one module (3) for the garret storey and one module (4) for the roof ridge, and in that a number of ground floor, intermediate storey, garret storey and roof ridge modules (1 to 4) depending on the area, shape and height of the house is arranged in such a way that, when assembled and joined together side-by-side or in stacked array, they form the storeys desired and the roof, the metal bearing frame (5, 11, 16) being designed and arranged in such a way that no bearing walls are needed to finish the house.
