[origin: GB2272918A] The present invention relates to a structural support post (1) for use in a partition system (2) for supporting one or more panels having panel support means (25) with first, releasable, engagement means (44) e.g. hooks at or in the vicinity of the panel edges. The post (1) comprises a profiled tube having a diameter of at least 70mm and a multiplicity of anguIarly spaced apart longitudinal undercut slots (13), the walls of the slots being provided with second engagement means (24) e.g. slotted plates formed and arranged for engagement by the first releasable engagement means (44) provided on the panel support means (25). The post may comprise elongate sector-shaped elements (12) (Fig. 3, not shown) interconnected by male and female formations (16, 18). <IMAGE>
