Abstract (en)
The supporting structure consists of lengthwise (21) and transverse (23) battens fastened through felt (11) to the roof truss rafters (10). The lengthwise battens are made with notches (22) at predetermined intervals to receive the transverse battens, so that the latter lie parallel to the upper and lower edges of the roof. The notches extend across the whole width of the lengthwise battens and to a preset depth. The supporting structure is fitted by locating a notched lengthwise batten at each end of the roof, locating a transverse batten between them and then fitting the remaining lengthwise battens in place. The rest of the transverse battens can then be fitted with the assurance that they all lie parallel to one another and the roof edges.

Un réseau de contrelattes (21) parallèles et de lattes (23) parallèles, dans lequel la face supérieure des contrelattes (21) est entaillée pour présenter des entailles (22) écartées les unes des autres d'une distance prédéterminée, les entailles (22) s'étendant sur toute la largeur de la contrelatte (21) et les entailles correspondantes des contrelattes étant alignées parallèlement à la ligne de faîte de la toiture. Les entailles (22) ont une largeur correspondant à la largeur des lattes (23) et une profondeur déterminée. Les lattes, disposées perpendiculairement aux contrelattes sont encastrées sur une certaine profondeur dans les entailles alignées des contrelattes. <IMAGE>
