Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0805245A2] The device has a rail (3) with at least one fixing section (4), the basic body of which has a rectangular shape. One of the sides of the basic body has a surface (6) to which the floor covering can be fixed. In the upper side of the basic body a groove (50) is formed, which has a dovetail or trapezoidal cross-section. A fixing device (40) incorporates a distance arm (9,17), which is used to position the rail and to support it against a wall (21) which limits the floor (37) to be covered. The fixing device also has connecting devices (60) which engage the rail.
