[origin: EP0805248A2] The lock can be operated by a key (2.6) inserted in the lock cylinder (2.4) on the inside of the vehicle, to allow emergency mechanical operation of the door locking device upon failure of the vehicle electrics, or the lock. The lock cylinder can be mounted on the inside of the vehicle door, incorporated in the door cladding and is coupled to the lock mechanism via a Bowden cable (2.5) and/or mechanical lever (2.2).
