Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0805251A2] The holder (1) has a housing (8), which is fixed to the door of a vehicle, and a band (2), which has a pivot fastening to a vehicle structural member. The band has a stop (14) at its end, and can move axially through the housing. When the door is in its end position, the housing applies a force (F) to the band via the stop. The housing is a composite component (16,18), which is designed so that the force is divided between the synthetic and metallic parts. It may be formed as a synthetic inner housing (16), which is enclosed in a metal frame (18).
