Abstract (en)

Portable box (10) informs user of a bus network of waiting times at the stops on the network. The device (10) includes a radio receiver (11,12) to receive information from a central management station which is updated from the buses themselves. Such information is used to determine the waiting time by a central processing unit (15). A screen (16) and keyboard (17) provides means for inputting questions and reading information. A bell (19) is provided which is used by the central processing unit to emit a warning as soon as the expected time of arrival as previously notified to the user changes significantly from the actual, new, time of arrival.

Il s'agit d'un boîtier portatif (10) pour informer les usagers sur les temps d'attente aux arrêts d'un réseau d'autobus, comprenant un récepteur radio (11,12) pour recevoir des données permettant de déterminer les temps d'attente, un clavier d'interrogation (17), une unité centrale (15) pour évaluer l'instant d'arrivée prévu du prochain autobus à un arrêt particulier, un écran (16) pour afficher le temps d'attente de cet autobus, et un émetteur sonore (19). L'unité centrale est prévue pour remettre à jour cycliquement l'instant d'arrivée prévu du prochain autobus, et pour actionner l'émetteur sonore lorsque cet instant d'arrivée prévu est trop différente de l'instant d'arrivée initialement prévu lors de la dernière interrogation par l'usager. <IMAGE>
