Abstract (en)
The modular jack includes two self-stripping contacts (1,2), each provided with two slots and being inserted in a plastic body (3). The body presents a rotating plastic lid (4) which can turn about an axis (5) parallel to the group of contacts. Two pairs of blades (61-64) are actuated when the lid is shut The blades push extremities of telephone line conductors into the slots corresponding to each contact. An elastic clip (7) locks the lid in the closed position thus securing the connection.

Dispositif de connexion rapide, à l'arrière d'une prise téléphonique ou informatique, de fils de ligne (6) par chassage, à l'aide d'un poussoir rotatif (4), dans des contacts (1, 2) à fentes autodénudantes. Il est prévu, près de chaque fente autodénudante, des rainures (11, 12) de maintien du fil (6) à connecter. Un couvercle (15, 16) intégré au chapeau basculant (4) vient alors fermer cette rainure, de sorte que le fil (6) y est solidement maintenu et qu'en conséquence aucune sollicitation externe n'est transmise à la fente autodénudante. <IMAGE>
