[origin: WO9719847A1] The swimming aid comprises an inflatable cushion (10) made of folding material and attached to a bag (16) which encloses the folded non-inflated cushion (10) and has a belt (28) for securing the aid to the swimmer's body. The cushion is inflated preferably with pressurised gas such as carbon dioxide fed from a standard cartridge (42) into the cushion (10) via a valve (36).
