[origin: WO9623120A1] The description relates to a closing mechanism for a door (4) with a spindle (7), an actuating means (1) turning the spindle, a locking component in functional connection with the spindle to lock the door (4) and a coupling component fitted in the actuating means which acts on the rotation of the spindle. The coupling component has a pin (25) movable to and fro axially to the spindle which can be engaged with a locking component (33; 41) independent of the actuating means (1) in order either to transmit the rotation of the freely rotatable actuating means (1) to the spindle (7) or to release the rotation of the actuating means (1) rotatively connected to the spindle (7). This closing mechanism is preferably used with an electronic control.
