[origin: EP0806502A2] A fleece hopper follows at a known distance from a drafting frame outlet rollers. In the region (303) of its long funnelling side it has a guiding surface (310) bounding an impact surface (309) which is concavely curved and at the deepest point of the concavity has a hopper mouth leading to a hopper channel (304). Outside the hopper region is a ramp face (302). The impact surface is extended so far towards the ramp face that their contours form a single common cross-section.
