Abstract (en)
The screen has a cathode composed of microdots (2) for electron bombardment of an anode (5) provided with luminophores (7) of the primary colours on strips (9) of indium-tin oxide deposited on the glass (6). The active region (20) containing the luminophores is surrounded by a track (21) biased (27) to a lower voltage. The track is separated by a ring (22) of insulating glass or silicon dioxide from which secondary electrons are returned to the active region by the negative charge built up on the track. The width of the latter is preferably more than the 50 mu m range of a secondary electron with energy of the order of 30 eV.

Anode d'écran plat de visualisation du type comportant une zone active pourvue d'éléments luminophores, ladite zone active (20) étant entourée d'au moins un piste (21) de collection d'électrons secondaires susceptibles d'être réémis par la zone active suite à un bombardement électronique de celle-ci, et ladite piste étant séparée de la périphérie de la zone active, au moins en grande partie, par un espace (22) en un matériau isolant. <IMAGE>
