[origin: WO9623707A1] A bottle including a hollow body (12) for containing a product, said body having one end forming a neck, a transverse tear-off seal (22) for sealing the neck, and means (14) for tearing off the seal (22), which means are controllably axially movable in the neck by means of a control member between a stand-by position and an operative position in which the seal may be torn off. The seal (22) comprises a weakened portion (24) defining therein at least one retractable flap (25A), and a flap hinge portion (25B) between at least two radially outer ends of the weakened portion (24), and the tearing off means comprise a flap pushing member engaging a flap region adjacent to the hinge portion (25B). The bottle is suitable for ophthalmological products.
