Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9623778A1] A process for purifying melamine in which unpurified melamine is kept for from 5 minutes to 20 hours at a partial ammonia pressure of 150 to 400 bar within a temperature range from 280 to 430 DEG C, whereafter it is first rapidly cooled to room temperature and then the pressure is released, or it is cooled and the pressure is released simultaneously, pure melamine being obtained in powder form.
