Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0807453A1] The boot retaining clamp consists of a base which is fixed to the ski and carries a housing with two jaws (48,52) pivoting about vertical axes. Each jaws has an inner projection (48a,52a) which interacts with an inner spring-loaded transmission member. The clamp incorporates a mechanism to reduce the lengthwise movement of the transmission member in relation to one of the side jaw projections. It is made in the form of a chamfered surface on the inside of the projection interacting with a shoulder (50) on the transmission member. Alternatively, the transmission member has a pivoted shutter which is able to interact with the jaw projections.
