[origin: EP0807580A1] The method involves string (11) which is arranged to run at approximately the level of the recesses (3,4,5) of the tea bag (1). Through the central recess (3), axis-vertically to the string, two catchment needles (21,22) are inserted, which secure the ends of the string formed as eyelets (23,24). With the grip tongs (13) opened, the string is drawn through the central recess by means of the catchment needles in the form of a loop. The loop is braced by lateral adjustment of the catchment needles and then the needles are inserted through both outer recesses (4,5) of the head part (2).
