Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0807711A2] The applicator, to coat a moving paper or cardboard web with a liquid or paste material, has an elastic spring unit (13) bearing directly or indirectly against the lever pressure section (10), with a setter (12) to act against its reassertion when in use. When the pressure lever (10) is inactive through release of the setter (12), the reassertion force breaks the contact (K) with the scraper (6) and releases it.
