A power distribution system including a first, integrated busbar (1) designed as a flat (flexible) cable, with conductor cores of different cross-section, and adapted for use as a power line with supply voltages in excess of 120 V, and/or as an auxiliary line, and/or as a communications line. Also included is a cable branch (2,3) with a housing which has a contacting device working according to the penetration technique principle. The contacting device (4) is utilised in order to enable a second integrated busbar (5) to be connected as a branch flat-cable onto the first busbar (1), the second busbar being electrically connected at its other end to a communications-supporting consumer-branch (6).

Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Energieverteilungssystem sind Kabel-Abzweige (2,3) an eine integrierte Sammelschiene (1) angeschlossen, die eine Energie, eine Hilfsenergie- und eine Kommunikationsbusleitung umfaßt. An dem passiven Kabel-Abzweig (2) ist ein Abzweig-Kabel (5) angekoppelt, das ebenfalls als integrierte Sammelschiene ausgeführt ist, und zu einem kommunikationsfähigen Verbraucherabzweig (6) führt, zu dem ein Teilnehmer (8) anschließbar ist. Der aktive Kabel-Abzweig (3) ist als kommunikationsfähiger Verbraucher-Abzweig ausgeführt. <IMAGE>
