[origin: WO9624246A1] A film-forming composition for coating seeds to protect them from ageing damage, particularly during storage, is disclosed. The composition includes, based on the dry weight, at least one film-forming substance in an amount of 3-90 wt %, preferably 5-30 wt %; and at least one antioxidant in an amount of 0.1-30 wt %, preferably 1-20 wt %. A processing method using said film-forming composition, and the resulting seeds, are also disclosed.
