The pressure chamber (39) of an adjusting piston (37), which acts on the lifting ring (22), is acted on by an additional control device (47), parallel to the hydromechanical pressure regulator (41), with pressure variations such that the oscillating effects of mechanical forces on the hydraulic clamping of the lifting ring (22) are reduced, so decreasing the development of noise of the reciprocating pump.
