Abstract (en)

[origin: DE19503986A1] A process and device are disclosed for feeding concrete and other thick materials from a container into a feeding pipe by means of two feeding cylinders that can be alternatively connected to the container or to the feeding pipe by a switching device. The feeding pistons of the feeding cylinder alternatively carry out a suction and a compression stroke. The average piston speed during the suction hub is at least temporarily higher than during the compression stroke. In order to achieve a continuous feeding flow, both feeding cylinders are at least temporarily separated from the container, short-circuited together and connected to the feeding line during the switching period tu of the switching device. One of the feeding pistons finishes its compression stroke in this condition and at the same time the other feeding piston starts its compression stroke. The corresponding feeding piston starts its suction stroke only when the short-circuit is again substantially cancelled and only the appropriate feeding cylinder is connected to the container.
