[origin: EP0808661A2] A new shower head is intended for handheld and/or fixed shower fitting. Connected to the water supply, its casing (12) forms a chamber with a base section (2). The base section has an outer ring (3) in rubbery, elastic material with grooves (33) to produce the water jets. The ring rests by its outer casing in a reception bore (16). In this novel design, the ring and a collar (30) project downstream beyond the base section which acts as a carrier plate. By scraping or working the collar, limescale deposits in the grooves can be removed. Preferably the base section is plastic, especially polypropylene. The ring element (3) is a thermoplastic elastomer, especially Santoprene (RTM), which is injected onto the base section,
