Abstract (en)

A packaging system for articles (2) of a hard material which is liable to deteriorate from fraction, especially tera cotta tiles, consists of applying blobs (8) of a friction reducing material to the underside of each article and allowing them to dry before the articles are stacked. The friction reducing material used for the procedure is a hot melt adhesive which is mixed with a gas such as nitrogen to produce a foam as it is applied, and the blobs of material are 2 mm thick prior to compression. Once they have dried the articles are stacked and packaged.

Ce procédé consiste : avant la réunion des objets (2) à conditionner par paquets, à déposer un produit séchant à l'air sur les parties (7) des faces inférieures de ces objets (2) susceptibles de venir frotter contre les faces supérieures des objets (2) adjacents, ce produit étant tel qu'il adhère, au cours de son séchage, à l'objet (2) sur lequel il est déposé mais qu'il n'adhère pas, une fois sec, à un autre objet (2), et étant apte à amortir les frottements susceptibles de se produire entre les objets (2) au cours de leur transport ; à laisser sécher ce produit ; à constituer les paquets d'objets (2), et à grouper ces paquets, notamment sur des palettes, en vue de leur transport. <IMAGE>
