Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0808964A2] The mechanism is for coverings of laminate and prefabricated parquet, and has thrust jaws (4,10) on a multi-section bar (1). These press strip-type parallel covering plates together and which engage with each other via tongues and grooves. One or both jaws have parallel edge strips (5,6) protruding inwards and at different distances from the section (2) of the bar on which the jaw is mounted, and which act against the material (7,9) supporting the floor covering. The bar section (2) can be coupled to a second one (3) in two positions 180 deg. apart. Clamping can be by a lever (12) attached to one bar section and acting via a tapped sleeve (14) on a bolt (15) coupled to the other bar section, so as to give stepless adjustment.
