Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0809220A2] A coin checking system has a closed housing with an entry point at the top for coins (5). The housing has a main body and a cover (14) that is hinged along one edge (13). Internally, the coins are directed along guide tracks and pass through sensing stations that are located behind the cover section. A limit switch signals that the cover is correctly closed. The lower section of the housing has delivery points for coins from a track (7) and the cover has a push button that is operated to open the cover to free any jamming situation.
